  • After breakfast, your day will start with a journey through Chiquitania, passing by Rio Grande and San Ramón to the Jesuit Mission of San Javier. This beautiful colonial city boasts a historic church declared a UNESCO cultural heritage site.
  • Traveling through savannahs and forests, you'll arrive at Concepción, the largest Missionary center with breathtaking views of its Jesuit church.
  • You'll then check into the Gran Hotel Concepción for the night, where dinner will be served.

  • After breakfast, you'll savor the beauty of Concepción, including a visit to the largest repair workshop where restoration work of the Jesuit Missions takes place, and the local museum.
  • You'll return to Santa Cruz and check into the Senses Hotel Boutique for the night, where dinner will be served.

  • You will have your flight to Sucre, including transfers.
  • Upon arriving in the afternoon, you can explore the beautiful White City of Sucre. This tour includes a visit to La Casa de la Libertad, where Bolivia's Declaration of Independence was signed in 1825, Parque Bolívar, where you'll see examples of Sucre's aristocratic tradition, small replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe of Paris, the church and museum of La Recoleta, and the ASUR Museum of Indigenous Textiles.
  • Then you'll arrive at the Hostal de Su Merced where you'll stay.

  • Early morning departure to the indigenous community of La Candelaria southeast of Sucre, passing through Tarabuco. If traveling on a Sunday, you'll also visit the famous Tarabuco indigenous market. Otherwise, there'll be a short stop in this village.
  • Then, travel to Candelaria where you'll visit the Hacienda and see how they work on the famous "Tarabuco" textiles.
  • After enjoying a tasty traditional lunch, you'll return to Sucre.
  • You'll then head back to the Hostal de Su Merced for the night.

  • After breakfast, take a 3-hour regular bus journey to Potosí, passing through several valleys along the way to Potosí, a Cultural and Natural Heritage site declared by UNESCO.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Mint House, traditional colonial streets, the churches of San Francisco, and the facade of San Lorenzo.
  • Finally, you'll arrive at the Patrimonio hotel for the night.

  • Post breakfast, visit a mine to see the remnants of the vast silver production during the colonial era at the famous Cerro Rico.
  • In the afternoon, embark on a private trip to the Salar de Uyuni, crossing the Andes Mountains, old mining centers, and villages with beautiful landscapes and indigenous communities.

  • In the morning, visit the village of Colchani, an artisanal salt processing plant, and observe salt extraction methods. Cross the imposing Salar, then head North to explore the pre-Columbian fortress of Pucara de Ayque and the nearby chullpares on the slopes of Thunupa volcano. Continue with a visit to Incahuasi Island, a unique habitat of giant cacti and volcanic rock formations.
  • Return to Colchani, where you'll spend the night at the Sal hotel, specifically the Palacio de Sal. This hotel is unique, being entirely made of salt, so ensure your camera is ready to capture this peculiar hotel!

  • After breakfast, take a morning flight from Uyuni to La Paz; transfers are included.
  • Then visit the Tiwanaku ruins, a 72 km journey through the Altiplano, considered one of the oldest American cultures.
  • At the ruins, visit the Kalasasaya temple, the Sun Gate, the Ponce and Friar monoliths, the Akapana pyramid, and the Semi-subterranean temple. The visit also includes local museums.
  • Then return to La Paz and enjoy a tour on the iconic cable car from El Alto city to the city center, offering truly the most captivating view of La Paz. Have your camera ready; you won't want to miss this scenery!
  • You'll then stay at the La Casona hotel for the night.

  • Today, embark on a 4-hour tour of La Paz, including the market streets famous for their handicrafts, fabrics, and witchcraft artifacts. This tour will also take you through the colonial parts of the city, such as the San Francisco Church, the Gold Museum, and the Murillo Square.
  • Next, as you slightly decrease in altitude, you'll pass through the modern part of the city to the Moon Valley to visit this extraordinary location where clay mountains have impressive shapes due to erosion.
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the city.
  • In the evening, attend a folkloric Peña and dine. Here you'll witness handwoven garments, traditional dance steps accompanied by handmade instruments like zampoñas (bamboo flutes) and charangos (small guitars made with an armadillo shell). The entire show showcases a part of the Andean and tropical cultures in Bolivia. It'll be an unforgettable entertainment night.
  • Return to the La Casona hotel for the night.
  • Note: Transfers from the hotel to the restaurant and return, the Peña, and dinner are already included in the rate.

  • Post breakfast, be driven to Lake Titicaca; Copacabana is a pleasant town on the lake shores, approximately 3.5 hours away. As you head north, you'll traverse the Altiplano parallel to the Royal Range of the Andes.
  • Upon arrival, visit the famous church of the Virgen Morena and stroll through the town.
  • Next, take a scenic boat ride to Isla del Sol (about 1 hour) arriving at the Huacani port. Enjoy a traditional lunch called Aptapi.
  • After lunch, return by boat to the Pilkokaina port and visit the famous ruins.
  • Then, walk for about an hour to the Ecolodge La Estancia for the night, where dinner will be served.

  • They say: save the best for last! Today, take a boat to La Chincana, approximately 1 hour, to visit the Inca ruins. Continue by boat for another hour to visit the Moon Island and the Iñak Uyu ruins.
  • Afterward, take the boat back to Copacabana and travel by bus back to La Paz.
  • Finally, return to the La Casona hotel for the night, where dinner will be served.

  • This marks the end of your tour. You'll be driven to El Alto Airport, wishing you the best of journeys and hoping you had a great time!

  • During the rainy season (November to April), roads can be in poor condition, and the Uyuni salt flat may flood. Hence, access to Isla Incahuasi or Pucara de Ayque might be difficult or impossible. The program is subject to change.
  • Since the roads from the Uyuni Salt Flat to the Color Lagoons are not paved, we use 4WD vehicles, with a maximum of 4 passengers each. To keep costs down, the guide and/or TC may ride in the back of one of the cars if necessary.
  • Museums in La Paz, Sucre, and Potosí are closed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, as well as on holidays and all day on Mondays.
  • To get to Ecolodge La Estancia, a gentle uphill walk of about 1 hour is needed; the downhill walk when leaving will take approximately 30 minutes.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Comfortable clothing and shoes, warm clothes for the evening (it can get cold), rain gear for the rainy season (December to April), sun hat or cap and wool hat for the nights.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, flashlight.
